Birth Matters’ Doulas in Kamloops are ready to provide experienced, unbiased support to you and your partner whether pre labour, during labour, or postpartum. Our team offers in-home support and care to help with recovery, feeding, sleep, and more.
We meet with you and your partner to discuss your birth preferences where we will listen to your needs, wishes and desires for your birth plan. Our specialization is attuning to your specific style while providing information on what to expect with routine procedures and possible events. On the day of labour, our team will be with you to guide you through your chosen relaxation techniques, positions, visualization exercises, positive affirmations, and provide breathing and information support. After your little one has arrived, we can offer assistance with feeding initiation and guidance for your baby’s initial bonding experience.
An in-office postpartum follow-up visit is offered 2-4 weeks postpartum to answer questions and help with a smooth transition.

Photography
Birth Matters Kamloops offers photography services to capture the important moments for folks such as labour, birth, and postpartum time as desired. Included in the $1400 fee, folks receive 10-15 fully edited images of your experience provided at the final postpartum in-office visit.
Doulas for Aboriginal Families
Birth Matters Kamloops is pre-approved for the Doulas for Aboriginal Families Grant Program, which provides Indigenous families living in BC up to $1200 of coverage. The client will need to apply for the fund directly with forms available online or in-office. Please note this grant program can be applied to either pre or postnatal Doulas.
Payment
